Our Philosophy

Kensington's Children are

Praised & Encouraged

Children need to feel safe and have a sense of belonging. This enables them to make as much progress as possible providing a happy, safe and stimulating environment. We provide opportunities for intellectual, physical, spiritual and moral growth in preparing children for later life. We encourage all our children to form positive relationships with their peers and adults, and develop their confidence to enable them to communicate in front of others. All the children are encouraged to respect the feelings, values, beliefs and property of others and we encourage children to participate fully in the nursery. This will help to promote self-esteem and self-confidence in all children through praise and encouragement, and to praise achievement and effort in all areas of learning.

Our children are taught to take responsibility for their own actions and to act in a polite and courteous manner at all times. All of our staff are dedicated and committed to achieving each child’s full potential, and Kensington Nursery is committed to encouraging our team to extend, improve and update their training and qualifications. We are committed to making a partnership with our parents and understand the importance of establishing communication links. We encourage close parental involvement with pre-start visits and staff are available to talk about your child’s progress or any other issues you wish to discuss.

AT KENSINGTON... We provide a beautifully presented and bespoke intimate nursery, we pride ourselves on the small, homely and personal environment which we offer. When your child joins our nursery, our team is committed to giving all of the care and interaction they need to ensure everything runs smoothly. As proven, children learn more in a small nurturing environment.

Our 3 year-old son, Jack, has attended Kensington Nursery for approximately 16 months. When he started, Jack was a very shy little boy who couldn’t say a word. We knew it would take a special place and a special team of people to help Jack, and we will be forever grateful to Becky, Chloe and […]

I would like to start by saying that I am so thankful I chose this setting for both of my children (one who attended the pre school last year and one who is currently in the toddler room). The staff at Kensington go above and beyond for the children in their care.

I would like to say that both my children have attended and my youngest is still with Kensington now, and the care is second to none. I continued with Kensington for my youngest as every care worker that my children have been looked after, has been treated like their own children.
